Good Week for Goodson
Clarence Goodson, W.T. Woodson High graduate and former Maryland Terrapin standout, is known for his work in FC Dallas's central defense, not in the attack. In the past five days, though, the 6-foot-4 Goodson scored the opening goal during FCD's 2-1 U.S. Open Cup victory at Charleston and headed home the game-winner in added time with his club a man down last night in a 3-2 comeback victory over visiting Columbus.
Goodson, the only Dallas player to appear in all 20 regular season matches this year, had not scored in league play since getting two goals against New York more than two years ago.
Dallas takes over first place in the West, two points ahead of Houston, and now has the most points in the league.

Wonder if Roma saw Goodson's goal and realized that Szetela stood there and let Goodson run around him.

No matter what you think about Max Bretos, you've got to love his goal call: That's why he wears 11.

even when they went behind 2-1 I expected Dallas to win. They were just a much more dangerous looking team and they seem to have a fair amount of depth. I wish we had Oduro on our team...or Arturo Alvarez.
FCD certainly did the rest of the East a favor...and of course they help keep LA's hopes alive as well.

Goodson is having a hell of a season. Did he not also score in the playoffs against CO last season?

I believe mr. goodson had at least two goals last season. Unfortunately they were for the wrong team.
Incredible comeback by the hoops. They are fun to watch. Dax Mccarty was doing his best juan toja impression.
