The Becks Aftermath

I've got an early-morning flight to Chicago so I will have to keep this short.

Player Ratings:

Perkins 6; Burch 7, Boswell 7, McTavish 6, Namoff 6; Olsen 6, Fred 4, Simms 6, Gros 6; Kpene 5, Emilio 6. Subs: Moreno 6, Carroll 6, Vanney no rating (late entry).

Special Becks rating: 6. He was confident on the ball, he influenced the match, he didn't back down when challenged.

Ben Olsen was the lucky dude with Beckham's jersey afterward, adding to his collection that includes Raul's and Gattuso's.

What will happen to it?

"My wife will probably steal it and wear it."

Who initiated the jersey exchange?

"Who do you think?"

By the way, Olsen came off with muscle spasms and should be fine to face Becks and the Galaxy again Wednesday night at Home Depot Center.

Frank Yallop, on two sequences in which he believed his club should have received a penalty kick: "In a game like this, it means everything. They have chances, we have chances, but that can't be missed. It did cost us the match."

Lots more good stuff in the game report, Wilbon's column, the fan story , video highlights and the photo gallery.
