Toja! Toja! Toja!

Juan Toja, Dallas's Colombian midfield star, has the best mullet in MLS since Marco Etcheverry. So to celebrate, FCD is hosting Juan Toja Wig Night on Thursday when Chivas USA comes to Frisco. His teammates got an advanced supply on the wigs. Merriment ensues.

That seriously just made my day...

Haha - the 80's pron music makes it even funnier.

Didn't Tampa Bay do the same for El Pibe, or is that my imagination?

Screw the wigs, I just want Dallas to give DCU a chance to clinch the SS on Saturday.

BTW. Nice picture on Toja on that link. It looks like someone is biting him on the butt.

When did MLS turn into Minor League Baseball?

Not that I am against this or anything....

Where's the DCU/MLS news you teased yesterday?

Posted by: Cubicle | October 10, 2007 4:20 PM | Report abuse

Well, wouldn't it be great if we could get DCU to hand out those wigs for the October 20 match against Columbus... The team is honoring Etcheverry before that game!

Thank goodness it's the hair and not the pants.

The best giveaway I've ever heard of, and a far classier way of drawing fans than the Starting 11/Chivas girls.

ESPN Sportscenter should make a commercial about the wigs. They could have the anchors wearing Toja wigs pretending to do an MLS highlight, and then scream, GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!

Looks like our main man Will could use one of those wigs...

Posted by: seahawkdad | October 10, 2007 7:27 PM | Report abuse

Unfortunately that falls into the realm of "Good Ideas" which ESPN is vehemently opposed to.

We must sign Juan Toja for next season. I needs me one of those wigs.

This has to be the best giveaway ever in MLS, unless you count Chivas giving away their DP slot for a bag of wind and some orange slices.

Benny should grow his Grizzly Adams beard again...then DC United can giveaway fake beards. That would be awesome. The Screaming Eagles section would like a mess of Amish/Cossack/Taliban hooligans.

I hope United is going to try and top this by giving away strands of Chang's hair to the first 5000 fans for the Chicago match.

The only thing better than Toja's hair has been his play. The dude is a beast.

BTW, kudos to chang for not welching on the bet. Next time (next year maybe?) the guys will have to win him some vengeance.

Amazing stuff. I really want one for the Etcheverry day. That would rock the house down.

But would really make me love it even more is if the Hoops win big tonight. Then we crush Cuahemteco

Anyone know what the word is on Fred's groin? Will he be able to go on Saturday? With Jaime, Gros, and Boz out, we're gonna need bodies. Supporter's Shield, man.

Mediate? Dyachenko? Carroll? How about putting Montiero (instead of Kpene) in there against his old mates? And whatever happened to Justin Moose? He was looking pretty solid before his hernia...he could fill in on the flank, no?

Posted by: DE | October 11, 2007 9:58 AM | Report abuse

Kpene was better with that early season hair. At least he could finish. Bring back the Drogba look Kpene!

Posted by: Anonymous | October 11, 2007 10:43 AM | Report abuse

That was pretty damn funny....I wish I had watched it yesterday when I was havign a bad day.

Posted by: Aljarov | October 11, 2007 12:20 PM | Report abuse

When did Kpene finish anything?
