United News & Notes

A few things to share from the RFK training grounds, site of this morning's reserve match between DCU and Kansas City.....

*Josh Gros, who experienced more migraine symptoms in Mexico last week and did not play Friday in Kansas City, will see a specialist in Massachusetts tomorrow. I can't imagine he will be available this weekend against Chicago and you've got to wonder why he has not already been shut down for the rest of the regular season, if not the entire year. More on this subject tomorrow.....

*Kevin Payne tells me the club has made significant progress with one potential jersey sponsor with a national reputation and hopes to know more details in the coming weeks.

*United lost to the Wizards, 2-1, in the reserve game. I believe Jerson Monteiro scored the late goal for United, which conceded one goal just before halftime and another with about 15 minutes remaining. Stephen deRoux received a late red card. DCU did not look good.
