Hand of God, NCAA Style?

It was bad enough that Maryland relinquished a two-goal lead in the final three minutes of regulation, but to then lose the game on a controversial golden goal? Not a good night for Sasho Cirovski and the Terps. Read the details of this wild match by clicking here.

From my distant vantage point in the press tent, I did not get a good look at the game-winner. But if any Insider loyalists were at the match and had a clear view of the sequence, please share it here.

Bradley, shaken by tragedy this year, moves on to the quarterfinals for the first time. In August, redshirt freshman Danny Dahlquist died in a house fire. Three team members who shared the off-campus residence with Dahlquist were charged with felony arson in a prank that went bad.

Meantime, Ian Sarachan (son of former Fire coach and U.S. assistant Dave) scored the only goal in Illinois-Chicago's upset at Creighton, and Notre Dame surprised host Santa Clara. Five other matches on tap Sunday.

The women's final four next weekend at Texas A&M is set: UCLA, USC, Notre Dame and Florida State.
