Big Trade

We've known for weeks that star goalkeeper Joe Cannon was on his way out of Los Angeles. At first, he seemed en route to Washington. Now he's heading home to Northern California. The Galaxy sent him to the Earthquakes today for allocation money.

Nice deal for Yallop and the Quakes, eh?

"Joe is thrilled to be going back home and being part of a team in its first year," Cannon's N.Y.-based agent, Ron Waxman, said.
