DCU, CONCACAF, El Salvador Updates

*Reports in Bolivia say that Bolivar will play D.C. United in a friendly here in March. Not true. Bolivar did, indeed, inquire about a match, but it's not going to happen because of scheduling and other issues.

*Dates and times are set for DCU's quarterfinal series with Jamaica's Harbour View in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup: March 12 on the road, March 18 at RFK. Click here for all the details.

*As you know, United is preparing to announce several signings in the coming days. The first will likely be Argentine forward Franco Niell.

*From reading the previous thread, you know that El Salvador will likely play the second leg of its World Cup qualifier March 23 against Anguilla in the United States. (Anguilla does not have an adequate field.) I am hearing that RFK Stadium is in discussions with promoters to host the match and, with an enormous Salvadoran population in the Washington area, it would hardly be a home game for Anguilla. The first leg is set for next month in San Salvador.
