Live From Baltimore

The latest buzz.....

In no particular order, the top three might end up being UCLA defender Chance Myers, UCLA defender Tony Beltran and UConn defender Julius James.

One well-connected source said the latest he heard was that Kansas City was going to keep the top pick and select Myers to play right back. Wizards Coach Curt Onalfo, however, said this morning that a trade is still possible.

Virginia Tech's Patrick Nyarko, projected in the top three, has apparently slid a bit.

Things could change. We'll see what happens.....

Also, Colorado veteran Pablo Mastroeni is being seriously shopped around and at least three teams have expressed some level of interest.

Sightings: Just a couple weeks after quadruple bypass surgery, DCU President Kevin Payne has made an appearance. DCU's Ben Olsen is here to take part in the coaches' convention, which has been taking place at the convention center the past few days. Also on the premises: Ben Franklin! (Well, at least some prospective Philadelphia supporter dressed as Benny and part of a Philly fan contingent.)
