Qualifier at HDC?

A West Coast source tells the Insider that Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., is close to finalizing a deal to stage the U.S. national team's first World Cup qualifier -- Sun., June 15 at 2 p.m. (Pacific) against Barbados or Dominica. The date of the away leg has yet to be set, but will take place within a week of the opener.

As we reported a few weeks ago, HDC is also pursuing the USA-Cuba semifinal-round match in October (assuming both advance).
