DCU Update

United and Toronto played to a 1-1 tie in a 60-minute scrimmage in Bradenton, Fla., today. Dominic Mediate scored in the first half, Danny Dichio in the second half. United used mostly reserves before halftime, mostly starters afterward. Luciano Emilio did not play, but Fred did. Zach Wells, who just joined the club after U.S. training camp, started in goal. Ben Olsen returned to D.C. to continue rehabbing his ankles; he's not expected to return to Florida and will rejoin the club when it returns to Washington early next week.

Still no final word on the Christian Gomez negotiations with Colorado and the imminent trade with United for his rights. Sources assure me that his new contract and the trade will happen. I'll share further any information as soon as possible.
