Ralston, Twellman Sidelined
New England's 3-0 victory over Houston in an MLS Cup rematch Saturday at Gillette was the good news for the Revs. Today's injury report was the bad news.
Forward Taylor Twellman tore cartilage in his right knee during training last week and will have surgery tomorrow. He will miss at least six weeks. Midfielder Steve Ralston dislocated his left shoulder against the Dynamo and will undergo further examination tomorrow to determine the severity of the injury and how long he will be sidelined.
The Revs' depth will surely be tested, but with Sainey Nyassi scoring goals like this and Gambian compatriot Kenny Mansally showing well, Steve Nicol can take some comfort in his young players.
Thoughts on the Revs' predicament?
