Soehn Speaks
On facing Christian Gomez for the first time this weekend in Denver.....
"Having Christian here for so long, obviously we know his strengths and we are going to have to stop him because he can hurt you in so many different ways. But we're just focused on being a harder team to play against. I think we made some strides the last game but we still have lots of work to do."
On formation changes in recent weeks.....
"We are going to continue to try things until we feel we have a comfort level that puts guys in spots that we feel they are best suited for. ... The idea of how you play stays the same and throughout a course of a game the formation changes every 10 minutes, every five minutes, so basically it's just to have the understanding."
I'll have more about Soehn's decision to start rookie midfielder Dan Stratford and then replace him with Rod Dyachenko before halftime Saturday night in Wednesday's print editions (available online late tonight).
