Jeff Curtin Retires
As expected, D.C. United defender Jeff Curtin, 24, has retired because of recurring groin injuries, a decision that creates an opening on the club's developmental roster. United acquired the Georgetown graduate on waivers this spring. He made three appearances for Chicago in his first two years in MLS.
