Matchnight SuperLiga: DCU-Chivas
Greetings from Estadio RFK.....
*The pitch was replaced this past week and looks pretty good; we'll see how well it plays.
*I hear DCU is still very much in the market for a goalkeeper to challenge Zach Wells for playing time, and with the window opening Tuesday, we could see roster movement soon. As I told you a few weeks ago, Jose Carvallo is on a month-to-month deal and could be dumped at any time.
*The remainder of the all-star roster will be announced Tuesday, but once the USA Olympic men's team is unveiled Thursday, MLS will have to make adjustments.
*Lots of Chivas supporters in the parking lots. Loyalties could be evenly divided.
*TV: Comcast SportsNet and Telefutura, 8 p.m. ET. CSN color man Thomas Rongen has arrived after guiding the USA under-20s to a 3-0 victory over Mexico in Laredo, Tex., last night.
*In MLS this afternoon, Colorado gained a tie at San Jose, 1-1. Quakes Coach Frank Yallop was red-carded.
Back soon with DCU's active roster and lineup.....
DCU: Wells; Namoff, McTavish, Burch, Martinez; Thompson, Simms, Dyachenko, Fred; Moreno, Emilio. Subs: Thorpe, Zaher, Carroll, Doe, Cordeiro, Kirk, Murphy.
Chivas: Michel; Magallon, Reynoso, Olvera; Esparza, Pineda, Morales, Solis; Santana, Avila, Arellano. Subs: Rodriguez, Araujo, de la Mora, Hernandez, Baez, Mejia, Salazar.
As usual, this is the place for Super pregame, Super in-game and Super postgame discussion. Have a Super evening.
