Friday Night Lights

Greetings from Carson proper..

*DCU arrived this morning and held a light training session late this afternoon at Home Depot Center.

*Gallardo, Moreno and Vide are not here. McTavish is here, but will not travel to Honduras on Monday because of his red card against Saprissa. The two new defenders -- Janicki and Koroma -- did not make the trip. Kirk, Dyachenko, Thompson, Khumalo, Zaher and Doe are all here.

*Rookie defender Jeremy Barlow, waived by DCU recently, was picked up by the Galaxy and trained all week, but probably won't be on the 18-man roster tomorrow night.

*Galaxy officials are expecting a near or complete sellout.

*David Beckham and Landon Donovan will play together in a Galaxy home match for the first time since July 10.

*DCU goalkeeper Louis Crayton, who was rested against Saprissa, says his knee is fine and, barring a flare-up, is certain to start.

*You can read my feature story about Thabiso "Boyzzz" Khumalo in Saturday's print edition by clicking here. No, he's not related to Doctor Khumalo. But he did talk about the origin of his nickname, growing up in Soweto, attending Catholic school in Kentucky, playing at two colleges and journeying through the USL before getting a chance with DCU.

Nice job on the BoyZZZ article Goff. I like what I've seen from him so far--I hope he can help us out in a big way in LA. Gives us a lot of energy that we've been lacking at this point in the season.

Is Guerrero back and healthy? We missed his pace and handling so much against Saprissa.

Uhhh track standing on the podium again...
Thanks for the update... I am assuming Quaranta is there and Namoff, Martinez, how about Guerrero? Peralta? Fred? Emilio?
These are the givens, I guess?....
Is Snoop going to be at the game?

Thanks for the spot on Boyzzz big Big Steve. Wienerschitzel is super bad for you but oh, so delicious when in California.
Anyone notice Boyzzz shoes? He wears them pretty well if you ask me. I really can't wait for this game tomorrow night!
Vamos United!

Like Dadyran says...who else is there?

Did Peralta make the trip? Guererro? They're both listed as 'Questionable' on that highly dubious MLS injury list.

Uhhhhh, did Burch make the trip? How about Clyde?
Uhhhhm...?
Maybe the secret is that DCU is writing of their MLS season and the above is the full roster... Everyone else, is just resting up for Marathon.

How 'bout the rookie sensation Cordeiro? Did he make the trip?

It's bad enough Dyachenko made the trip, but at least give the public something to look forward to.
