Memories of Danilo
DCU captain Jaime Moreno, on the death of Spanish radio announcer Danilo Noel Diron:
"It's pretty sad. I had a good friendship with him. He taught me a lot since I had my back surgery [five years ago] and he had cancer. I was really upset with my injury, pretty down, and seeing him having cancer and fight through it, I realized what I had was nothing, really. He was a guy who inspired me a lot and he was the older brother I never had, even though he was way older than me. He was a guy who I became really good friends with and it's just sad to see him go."

Rest in Peace Mr.Noel.
I met him a few times in the last few months...he was a class act and he will be missed.

Bummer. Danilo was such a great guy. I was lucky to meet him in person a few times at Radio America and I will always remember his great sense of humor and how personable he was with friends and strangers
