Bison Blues
Not a good year for Howard University. Once one of the nation's elite college programs, the Bison:
*finished the season with a 1-16-2 record after losing in the conference tournament.
*are No. 203 in the 203-team Division I RPI ratings system.
*enjoyed its only victory against Virginia Military Institute, ranked No. 202.
*saw its former coach go on trial this week for soliciting a minor.
Where have you gone, Shaka Hislop?

Steve! Just asked in the morning kick around if you were going to be at the game tonight?

A tragedy. It seems like yesterday that they made the Final Four with Shaka. Howard athletics are in the toilet, which is a great shame.

"Once one of the elite" is ancient history. I guess Philadelphia Textile is no longer one of the elite either.

No, I will not be at the MLS game tonight.

I think Howard would do better with a soccer veteran, as opposed to a magician.

I'm despondent over the state of Howard athletics. It's like the school doesn't care about sports anymore. How many homecoming games do we have to lose? How many times do have to lose to Hampton? We can barely field a soccer team. It's so frustrating.

VMI surrendered to Winthrop 7-1 in a game that could have been significantly worse, if Winthrop didn't get their starters out in the first few minutes of the second half.

They should've hired Mike Williams. He's a magician.
