Sassano Recovering
As you may recall, New York Red Bulls midfielder Luke Sassano injured an ankle in the MLS first-round playoff series with Houston. Nonetheless, he endured and ended up playing 83 minutes in the Western Conference final at RSL and 78 minutes against Columbus in MLS Cup. Turns out, he suffered ligament damage in the Houston matchup and will now be in a protective boot until training camp opens next month. Surgery will not be necessary.
