Early Wednesday Kickaround
*I'm hearing that the New York Red Bulls have taken interest in Argentine midfielder Emiliano Diaz, son of Ramon Diaz, the former coach of River Plate who was fired by Club America last week. The younger Diaz, 25, had a brief trial with D.C. United last summer. The Red Bulls might give him a workout during their Argentina training camp, which begins this weekend.
*The Seattle Sounders will play Chelsea in a July 18 friendly at Qwest Field.
*United is headed to Puerto Rico today for a week of training and a Saturday night friendly against the USL1 Islanders, who are preparing for the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals against Marathon next week.
*Don't forget United President Kevin Payne's live online chat at washingtonpost.com at 11:30 a.m. today. Click here to submit questions in advance, follow the action live and read the full transcript.
*Revs Coach Steve Nicol enjoys green gelatin.

The Red Bulls better watch out. His name isn't really Emiliano Diaz, and he's really 29, not 25.....

Sometimes, it's tough to be a United fan, but it's always much tougher on the Nationals' fans.

Matt Reis knows nothing about a good jello prank. You do it in two stages so as to give the impression that the cleats are suspended IN the jello!
Not that I know or anything...

Hilarious. They're the Metrostars of MLB, and though while I like going to their idiotic palace of a stadium, I'm not a fan of the team.

Goff,
Do you know when DC United's website will get the change of appearance so it doesn't look like as generic?

Until we storm our views to Kevin Payne's chat, here is to enjoy some not so energizing news...

No, still all wrong. You fill the boots with Jell-O and replace them in the manager's locker/office. Then watch the fun ensue when he "slips" them on.

I don't have any insight into DCU's website design
You'd have to ask them
Maybe there is web contact info on behindthebadge.com

I think Seattle will be soundly defeated by even an out-of-season Chelsea.

Well, of course. Remember when we held them to one goal at the half. After the break, Mourinho went to his bench for Lampard, Crespo, and Robben. We were outmatched. But for a few, ecstatic minutes, Bobby Boswell had us believing in the impossible.

Great news for Sounders, that's a big land, just don't embarass us (I don't expect them to).
Anything in jello is good fun.
