Red Bulls in Annapolis
*The MLS Cup runner-up New York Red Bulls are coming to the Washington area on March 12 for a friendly against USL2 Crystal Palace USA at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Last summer, CP upset New York in the U.S. Open Cup. Later in the year, the Red Bulls signed CP midfielder Matthew Mbuta.
Tickets are $16. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Go to the Crystal Palace Web site for more information.
*Red Bulls winger Dane Richards has been added to Jamaica's roster for the Feb. 11 friendly against Nigeria at the New Den in London.

Well, the Bulls lost to a U17 team today, so what is one more?

Why on earth does a friendly between MLS and USL clubs cost more than a movie?

That does sound like it would have to be a joke. There aren't enough trialists in their camp to make that believable....

It's true. They lost 1-0 to the US U-17's. Same U-17's that got beat by KC by a score of 7-0. Death, Taxes and Dead Bulls.

Personally thinking about heading down to Charleston to see DCU that week. Anyone else?
Go CPB! Any team that can beat up on New Jersey is a team I can get behind!
But seriously, didn't DCU have some trouble with some youngsters in some tourney/thingy down in Texas last season too?

I just feel obligated in pointing out that yes, it was a US U-17 team, but it was the B squad. (no Renken, McInerney, etc...)
I'm thinking there are a lot of guys who won't be wearing zippered jerseys in a few weeks...

More doping allegations? NYRB should be banned from the spring classics and the grande tours in 09! Oh? wait... my bad.

I'll be in Charleston that weekend, but for the Food & Wine Festival. Ah, compromises.

RBNY ran out 22 players. I recognized about five names. It's hardly like this has anything to do with the actual roster.
Waiting with baited breath on that blogger dilettante's annual trip to DC training camp, where the news is always that the team looks like Brazil '70.

Charleston is possibly my favorite town for eating on earth. Would love to go down there for food, wine and United.

"Waiting with baited breath"
I knew I smelled something fishy (no "c").

Reignking: You could always stay through the next weekend... We were planning on actually going to Charleston the next weekend to catch the last matchday on the 14th.
Kinda a shame we'll miss the F&W fest, but maybe a little more elbow room in town while we're there. Then again...

With the T&T game being in Nashville, I'll be going to that instead of DCU in Charleston. Oh well, fair trade.
