""Jozy Altidore (injured) not in the 18 for Xerez's 2-1 win at Alaves""

(injured: toenail) . . it needs an asterisk or something . . . or a lesson in how to cut great toe toenail properly.

didn't Jozy have some kind of surgery this week? of course, surgery won't cut into his minutes since he wasn't getting any.

for those upset with DCU's FO, at least they aren't as dumb as the Xerez FO.

Surgery on both feet. Out one month.

This week had some real highlight, and everyting else was pretty crummy.

BUT EVERTON RULE, BABY!!

The worse pk ever taken, really really lazy by Barbatob and by Fardinend. Everton manager's campaign seemed paid off today. No ones know how much sum actually received by Riley except by himself and Moyas.

I'm not going to blame the ref for the game because Man. United had more than enough chances to win the match.

I'm personally proud of the way the youngsters played. I wish Fergie would've let them take the penalties instead of Rio and Dimitar.

"Benny Feilhaber 65 in Aarhus' 1-0 win over Copenhagen."

Well that's encouraging.

Even though someone on SBI said that he played only due to massive injuries (they played a defender at forward, apparently) I'm with George Jones himself in being happy Feilhaber got minutes today. Considering how his health has been, 65 sounds nice.

Two ingrown toenails? Can that really be called surgery?

Posted by: delantero | April 19, 2009 6:56 PM | Report abuse

Tim OH Te OH! 2 saves put to the Man U boys in their place . .

Here's to someone other than Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea winning something this season!

Posted by: delantero | April 19, 2009 7:02 PM | Report abuse

Goff, please tell me you sources on the Avery John pick up were hitting the hooka one to many times . . . please . . far as I can tell, there isn't a person on the Soccer Insider that approves.

Well, that should mean something . .

When was the last time you remember Arsenal winning anything?

I've had ingrown toenail surgery, it's real and I can't imagine striking a ball with a foot that has had such surgery for a few weeks. I know the whole thing sounds dumb, like breaking your "pinky" toe, but it still hurts and does affect you ability to play.

Marco Vidal went 90 minutes in midfield for Indios de Cd Juarez in their scoreless tie at home vs Pumas. Marco played in the last 3 game after no appearances in the first 10 or so games.

Indios need some points badly or they will be going back to Primera A after only one season with the big boys. With 3 games remaining Indios, Tigres and Necaxa are fighting to avoid being the team that goes down.

Sorry, forgot to add the link to the Indios' game boxscore:

I've had ingown toenail surgery, too, and I was back in class 30 minutes later.

Well done Tim Howard! Now I'll actually have a rooting interest in the Cup Final.

Does anyone know if Beasly and Spector are still injured? I know that Beasley was sent to the hospital with a rib injury and I believe Spector had a head injury about two weeks ago.

Have you ever had your toenail fully removed? I had that done a couple years ago and couldn't walk right for over a month, let alone run and kick a soccer ball... It's possible he had more done than just a sliver of an ingrown toenail cut out.

I thought that I had permanently repressed the memories of my own toenailectomy. Thanks a lot folks.
