Thanks for the update on the Normandy match. June 6 is an international fixture date, so I guess it's OK for a USA-France match.

Philly should start playing right about the time that United leaves DC. Will it then be OK to call them "the United", as opposed to (for example) St. Louis United? How much further is Chester from Northern Virginia than RFK?

Well - Chester is not in Maryland, so that's good - but it's that much closer to Jersey!

On Union -- "the world's worst-kept secret" according to Jay Sugarman

Thank God they didn't go with AC...

Parts of the website still need some work though.

Man. someone hit the "publish" button too early on the Union's website.

Hey Joe Doc! The Union's emblem has a Snake. Got any 80's lyrics for that?

Man, as pretty as Gooch's goal was, that first Standard free kick (the screamer off the left 90) was an absolute thing of beauty. Then to repeat it a short time later off live

I-270 -- how about the 70's?

G*#damn, well I declare
Have you seen the like?
Their walls are built of cannonballs,
their motto is Don't Tread on Me
Come hear Uncle John's Band
by the riverside
Got some things to talk about
here beside the rising tide

I am no fan of Philadelphia sports -- but I have to admit that I like what I see from their expansion team. Keeping true to the city colors and Sons of Ben theme is cool. Shield/crest is not bad either.

That'll do. I was thinking about Duran Duran, but Joe Doc must be distracted by work or something equally trivial.

The Union of the Snake is on the climb
Moving up it's gonna race it's gonna break
Through the borderline

Brazil has the Fla-Flu derby in Rio.

Guess we have the Uni-Uni derby in the Mid-Atlantic.

The Union's bench players will be affectionately known as the "Scabs"
