Onyewu, Bocanegra Score
The USA national team's starting central defenders, Oguchi Onyewu and Carlos Bocanegra, each scored in the second half today for their respective European clubs. But while Onyewu's 72nd-minute strike helped Standard Liege defeat Club Brugge, 2-0, and remain even with Anderlecht atop the Belgian Jupiler League, Bocanegra's 70th-minute goal was wasted as Rennes allowed two late goals and fell to second-division Guingamp, 2-1, in the French Cup final at Stade de France.

I think Gooch's contract is up this summer so you should see some teams making a move. Not sure if he wants to get it settled before a busy summer or if he wants to wait until after the Confederations Cup.

call it heresy, but I'd like to see Gooch stay put. he is the heart and soul of the team, he gets all the playing time he wants, they are likely league champions, and thus will play in Champions League next year. What's not to like? I kind of wish Bradley were still in Holland.

Can Gooch finally find himself a top-flight club? Or is this the best he can do.
