Terps Announce Schedule

Reigning NCAA champion Maryland, which sent five starters to MLS this year, will open the 2009 season at home against UCLA on Sept. 4 and face California two days later at Ludwig Field in College Park. As part of their 18-game schedule, the Terps will also play nonconference matches against George Mason, Georgetown, Navy, Duquesne, St. Peter's, Loyola (Ill.), Seton Hall and College of Charleston. Both the ACC tournament and NCAA College Cup will be held in Cary, N.C.

Give Sasha credit - he doesn't hide from the big boys. His team will be well seasoned by the time the ACC tournament begins.

they might have several losses by the end of the season which will hurt their seeding, but the trials will make them a better team. I'd have to face them in the post-season tournaments.

Hope GK's broken arm is healing well.

I like that we seem to play UCLA year after year, I think Sasho knows that that's the kind of program you want to measure yourself against in the long run.
