Drew had to be cheering him on!

Glad to see an MLS star getting some tv time ;). As far as DC the sky is not falling, we are where we should be. As in the beginings of the season we were picked last in the eastern conferance. NY was picked to finish first! We are doing well in a rebuilding year, and the more games we can get these young guys to play the better. I still have high hopes for this team. This year and years to come.

Pretty certain Drew was the impetus for the idea of presenting MLS tix to the winner, but just don't know if Esky was his first choice to present the tix . .

And, really, how much did they bid on the package?

And the Actual Retail Price Is.....

$15.67 million for 4 years. The Nationals bag some big game.

DC United -- the pressure is on you guys now...

Ovechkin, Strasburg....this is a town with some serious star power now. DCU is going to have to step up to the plate in the offseason, if they want to compete for press and entertainment dollars.

Mr. 11:58:43 has a lot to live up to now, fischy. DC should sign a big DP like a Gallardo or something.

Ovechkin also had a lot to live up to. I think that turned out OK. :)

We certainly need better than Emilio from the DP slot. I'm tired of watching a man in his early thirties look like a man in his early forties. He just disappears at times. It's especially painful given the money he is making. This sounds familiar doesn't it? I'm talking about a player with United but it sounds like I'm talking about another overpaid old Redskin. However, at least the Redskins finally seem to realize that the higher priced players need to have younger legs.

I will be at RFK cheering loudly when Alecko and Bruce are introduced. Just like when Nick Rimando and other great DCU alums are in town.

The sky is SOO falling.
Hope Soehn will enjoy his assistant coach position in Philadelphia next season.

Is Esky still out hurt again this week?

In other news, Arsenal v Celtic is supposed to be live on CSN MA at 2:30. Don't know if it will be the HD feed or not but I hope so.

The "Showcase Showdown" is the game with the big wheel. The game at the end of the show is simply the Showcase.
