Haha my school is playing LSU and I didn't even know it, maybe I'll go and make a Soccer Insider sign so everyone can identify me.

Anyone know for certain what channel DC Unitec v Chivas will be on?
Just wondering whether "The Comcast Network" is something other than the normal Comcast Sportsnet (Channel 10 for me in Arlington) which has most games. Saturday night's game does conflict with the Capitals so I want to record the right channel.

uh oh. Marathon just scored an early PK.
Posted by: fedssocr | October 1, 2009 10:16 PM | Report abuse
Uh-oh. Marathon takes the early lead after a ridiculous penalty call. Although the announcers are in agreement that it was a good call, I can't agree. The defender simply whiffed when he was trying to clear the ball. If he hadn't whiffed, the contact would have been ruled incidental. Anyway -- and it's hard to write this -- but we have to root for Toluca to score and tie this one up.

What's the "*" for on the Aussie game on FSC?
Thx,
Jay!

Joel-
Comcast Network is a different channel. It's cable-only. It's like Channel 8 in MoCo, I think.
10:30pm MLS: CD Chivas USA @ D.C. United (SDD) on ComcastSportsnet.
Thx,
Jay!

Toluca is SUCKING. 2-0 Marathon in 35th.
Posted by: hoyanick1 | October 1, 2009 10:41 PM | Report abuse
2 goals for Marathon -- by two players once sought by DC United. Seems the black and red are going to have to into Toluca needing a win. That should be interesting....
I still say Soehn could send half a dozen players down there to train and acclimate to the altitude at least a week ahead of the game.

wait...hold up...
Marathon is now a man down...

I guess the good news to come out of this game for DCU is that Toluca will be missing some defenders thanks to the cards. Maybe United will be able to score some goals. I don't know how those tiebreakers will shake out in a 3-way tie, but I guess United could end up on top of the group or, more likely, in 3rd place.

Is Toluca already qualified?

This just goes to show how hard it really is to follow this stuff living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Sooo. Toluca lost? DCU has to do what now to advance?
There's a chance I'll be sittin' around at 6pm tomorrow and have a chance to maybe tune into the MLS match. Is Beckham out?
