GolTV actually has a good friendly scheduled? They usually get matches like Ghana-Bosnia.

Anyone know why Ireland vs. Egypt is being played in England?

That's England v Egypt, KireDCU.

Which local watering holes are likely to have all or most of these games on simultaneously, on screens that are visible from a single seat? On the last such occasion, the afternoon when Ireland-France and all those other matches were played, the Chinatown Fado did a pretty good job.

Good for you, fischy. It's not covered in the basic package, or the FSC-Gol TV package either. That's why I'm annoyed.

And will anyone there speak Flemish? Does that mean they're from Flemland? Do they speak Flandish? And is NED Flanders just a coincidence? Orange you glad I'm asking? Will we lop off their heads?

Cheney's second on a give-n-go from Lindsey.
Former Freedom player Lori Lindsey. The 90 minute national team midfielder. Arrrgh.
I miss the "Troy Report" from Algarve.

$$$$
Plenty of Ireland fans/ex-pats/heritage in London. I went to Ireland-Jamaica at The Valley a few years back.
Seeing more neutral site matches for national teams in Europe these days, easy for the European based players to stay closer to home while in intl duty.

And yeah, Kire probably meant to write "Brazil-Ireland"

thanks Reignking. gotta love ESPN deeming Landon the #50th best player at the WC, especially since he has more caps than anyone else on the list, more goals than all but a handful, is a veteran of 2 WCs, and is only 27.

Switzerland vs. Uruguay in St. Gall (5, ESPN Deportes)
I think you meant to type "St. Gallen" there, Steve. The Swiss town is named after QPR legend and appropriately canonized, Kevin Gallen :-)

It's too easy a set-up so I urge one and all to please refrain from offering the kind of oblique Beasley-drugs references that populate SBI threads.

United Demon - I have what I think of as the FSC/Gol package ("extreme sports HD" or something like that) on Fios and I get ESPN Deportes the last time I checked (somewhere in the 1500's, I think). Maybe there is more than one HD Sports package...

Dare I ask what Fox SOCCER Channel is showing at 2:30 on Wednesday? Can't they voice over the world feed of Slovenia-Qatar game or something? Or do they just go to a test pattern for two hours while everyone else watches other games?

They're running a Serie A repeat. Poor form, FSC not making their constituents very happy this week - even as they're doubling their coverage!

Saturday
North Korea vs. Venezuela in Puerto la Cruz
===========
Great. In addition to scoring a few goals, Venezuela will also score a few Taepo Dong III ballistic missiles.
