I have been an Aliancista for about 15 years now and it is sad how the peruvian club that I love manages to choke and underachieve.

Respect to Juan Aurich. Alianza used to eat the lunch and kick the backside of a club like that.

Have you been watching the libertadores yankiboy? Alianza kicked butt against Veron's team Estudiantes, the reigning champion. They lead their group with 9 points in 4 games. The team had been on a huge roll in both the Libertadores and domestic league leading up to this game. The game was played on Aurich's turf field.
I got to see Reimond Manco score his first professional goal for Alianza Lima in Matute a few years ago. Peruvian futbol is on the rise. Hopefully both of these teams will be in the next round.
