Wow, we're playing our B team. Good, Wednesday's match es mas importante.

Posted by: 9Nine9 | August 29, 2010 9:52 PM | Report abuse

No question. Wednesday is THE most important game of the season.

Posted by: Curious99 | August 29, 2010 9:54 PM | Report abuse

Later, me go watch now. They better not have a 30 min pre-game!!!

Posted by: 9Nine9 | August 29, 2010 10:00 PM | Report abuse

ESPN2 is late starting the game ... as usual.

Any other links for the game? ATDHE/Justin.tv won't let you watch if you're out of the country.

Posted by: redskinsux | August 29, 2010 10:27 PM | Report abuse

Oh well, at least they kept Chivas off the board for 15 minutes or so.....

Posted by: Curious99 | August 29, 2010 10:29 PM | Report abuse

even though they are losing, i actually think they are playing quite well. very confident going forward, nice through the midfield. even boskovic looks good (though i think it was he who didn't get any pressure on the cross that led to the goal).

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 29, 2010 10:43 PM | Report abuse

They're actually controlling most of the play . . . . just not finishing.

Posted by: Curious99 | August 29, 2010 10:48 PM | Report abuse

Cristman sucks.

Posted by: Hoost | August 29, 2010 10:55 PM | Report abuse

Rice is so bad that Kevin Payne is considering him for DP money.

Posted by: Hoost | August 29, 2010 10:57 PM | Report abuse

that play just sums up the luck that this franchise has had recently. off the crossbar, off thornton's back and...out for a corner.

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 29, 2010 11:00 PM | Report abuse

i am actually impressed with the ball movement and overall play. maybe it's the scotch i am drinking? morsink has looked good to me. unfortunately, glaciers move faster than our striker tandem.

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 29, 2010 11:04 PM | Report abuse

Ball movement encouraging.

Morsink the best player on the pitch in first half for DCU.

I'm with birdynumnum, we actually are playing reasonably well. Some of the better possession i've seen from United this season. Too bad it falls apart when we enter the opponents third...

Posted by: StewartDC8 | August 29, 2010 11:08 PM | Report abuse

Looks like Perkins was way too far off the line on the goal. Barra representing in the corner.

VAMOS United!!!

I don't watch all MLS games but I watch a lot, and I have never seen a team ALMOST do as much as this United team. I don't believe in curses, but I am getting really tired of seeing $#!* like this supporting curses. Strasburg needs surgery and Mcnabb might not be able to start the season because of an ankle. And so it continues...
There must be toads buried all over DC.

wow. we've got nothing up top. are ali curtis and/or steve rammel available?

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 29, 2010 11:29 PM | Report abuse

I love Jaime, but his lack of acceleration spoiled an excellent chance for a goal. I think almost anyone else on the pitch would have gotten to that ball before the defenders did.

Posted by: b18bolo | August 29, 2010 11:34 PM | Report abuse

argh. so frustrating. i'll take a loss if 99 scores. Q playing very very well second half.

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 29, 2010 11:43 PM | Report abuse

Justin Braun looks like Jordan Vandersloot.

Posted by: benonthehill | August 29, 2010 11:44 PM | Report abuse

Nice playing from what I've seen. Just bad luck in not finishing.

Your DC United in a nutshell.

Posted by: stevie_in_gp | August 30, 2010 12:01 AM | Report abuse

they deserved WAY better than this result. that's 2 games in a row where they were the better team (albeit against philly and chivas). but, still, an encouraging display. boskovic disappeared in the second half after an encouraging first half. i was very impressed with morsink.

Posted by: birdynumnum | August 30, 2010 12:09 AM | Report abuse

Vamos United.................. or something.

Posted by: Ivanovich84 | August 30, 2010 12:10 AM | Report abuse

Painful to watch them work so hard and really not come that close.

It's like playing bogey golf. Over a hole or three, no big deal, but at the end of the round, it's a 90, and that's not pro golf.
