I go out of town and DC wins a game? You people had better start a collection to send me on vacation for the rest of the MLS season.

Speaking of watching soccer on tv - the last two nights of CCL have been ... entertaining.

All the usual suspects (poor officiating, questionable tactics, diving diving diving) plus some new acts, such as a rainstorm in Mexico City reminiscent of that Houston/DC game at RFK a few years back, and a decent crowd at an MLS stadium (yeah, *that one*, but still it was nice to see).

What is the Lineker line, something like: soccer being a game where 22 guys run around, the ref makes a bunch of mistakes and in the end the Germans always win?

Well, CCL games are where 22 guys run around, the ref makes a bunch of mistakes and in the end the Mexican team always win.
