What no World Cup coverage? Don't do me no favors. :)

Thanks, SG, for keeping us in the know. Let the loooooong Saturdays begin.

Didn't the EPL season just END?!? Sheesh... :-)

does anyone around here have access to FSC/FS+ in HD??? I thought about calling FiOS again to ask about it but figure they would have no idea what I am talking about.

NY/LA is promising.

EPL returns. "Brilliant."

@fedssocr - I now have FSC/FS+ in HD, through DirecTV, however, many of the games are still not broadcast in HD, like the England - Hungary friendly yesterday. But those that are can be great.

As far as what I'm watching, I've got to take the family to New York City for the weekend, so any soccer I will see will be short segments when I can duck into an Irish bar. Fortunately, there's about 6,000 of them on the Island of Manhattan.

FIOS doesn't carry FSC-HD. Others have written that DirectTV does.

DirecTV has GolTV (since 8/4) and FSC (since 8/11) in HD. The long wait is finally over.

Is this one of those weeks when there is no ESPM MLS Game of the Week?

GolTV is in HD? Must check when I get home (Comcast)...although I don't care until La Liga starts.

the one thing I hate about living in the United States is that there is never any soccer on tv :)

Posted by: rightback | August 12, 2010 5:33 PM | Report abuse

I know this is probably a long shot, but is there any radio coverage of the Premier League? One of the great things about the World Cup this year was listening to some of the games on the local radio station. Soccer on tv has exploded, but soccer on the radio still is quite a novelty for me.

Posted by: rightback | August 12, 2010 5:36 PM | Report abuse

Rightback, last season the EPL matches were broadcast on Sirius/XM radio.

Posted by: dcarmy | August 12, 2010 7:32 PM | Report abuse

Sirius Satelite Radio carries EPL games.

Saturday: Hearts v St. Johnstone @

Monday: NUFC @ ManU.

Live and in person!

Probably catch the replay of whatever is on Sky/ESPN at a pub.

Did you know, it's nearly impossible to try to use a backdoor server to ESPN3 to watch things you've subscribed to from the UK?

I forgot the @ Tynecastle and @ Old Trafford in my post above.

You need Sirius or the Best of Sirius package on XM Radio to get the EPL games. Otherwise, on XM, BBC World Service has a two hour whip-around coverage of every game with match reporters at each game from 10-12 ET on Saturdays and Sundays on their Sports World program, which can also be heard through the web, I think.
