MLS participation ConcaChampions news deserves much more attention too, Goff.

Columbus beat Santos 1-0 on a late goal by Andres Mendoza and now leads Group B w 2 games remaining.

Toronto got a scoreless tie at Cruz Azul but still trails Azul and Salt Lake in the standings.

It looks like Columbus and RSL have pretty good chances of getting out of the Group Stage and on into the quarterfinals which won't be played til MLS preseason 2011.

Seattle has virtually no chance in Group C and Toronto would have to pass RSL or Cruz Azul to get out of Group A.

This link has the standings and results but I'm not sure it will work as it's from an e-mail subscription newsletter:

Given what I saw of Spector in clips of the Man U game, he'll be lucky to see the pitch for awhile.

Tough day for some struggling EPL sides....Is Moyes in trouble?

Here's hoping this Cup competition is a chance for Villa's new coach to take a look at Lichaj....

MLS, Dallas-New England 8:30 p.m. Direct Kick
MLS, Kansas City-Houston 8:30 p.m. Direct Kick

By Steve Goff

Today's print edition onnly had the Dallas/NE game listed.

Then again, I won't be tuning in to the other one, so it's like there is only one MLS match tonight.

And RSL is already down a goal in the first fifteen minutes.
