I guess the USA women and their fans should be happy they're even on the internet... There must be some college football gameday show on ESPN2....

the end of the match would conflict with the noon start for college football games (Wisconsin-Michigan & Pittsburgh-S. Florida)

Check Goff's Twitter page for NCAA upsets, including one in Charlottesville.

I entered the pool (called "Bracket Challenge") at the NCAA site. I'm apparently tied for 301st place, but it is hard to tell what the total number of entrants is.

How on earth am I going to get laundry and groceries caught up with a schedule like that?

can't you watch TV on your phone?

In other news, Blackburn now has a billion potential new fans.

*****
Are you kidding? There are no teenagers in my household. I'm lucky if I can figure out how to use my phone to make, you know, phone calls.

What's a phone call? People talk?

Posted by: Reignking | November 19, 2010 10:32 AM | Report abuse

I've read that Venky's payed roughly $36M for Blackburn. That's stunning - that you could buy an EPL team for the price of an MLS one. Of course, Blackburn has another $33M in debt, which would take an MLS owner a few more years to accrue.

Still, $70 million to own a team! Let's start passing the hat around (or Reingking can figure out how we can text PREM and put $$$ on our phone bills.)

Since kickoff is at 10:30, the match would bump into college football at Noon. They might have had a slight chance with a 10am kickoff, immediately following Arsenal-Spurs.

Don't make excuses for them, ESPN has plenty of other channals they could have put it on. They just don't care.

ESPN - College Football at Noon
ESPN2 - College Football at Noon
ESPN Deportes - Premier League
ESPN Classic - no longer wants to show live programming
ESPN News - umm, news

Congrats to the USA WNT! What a great game. I am totally bummed that the game was not on TV. It took a good chunk of the 1st half to bring it up on line-AAUUGGHHH!!! I hope ESPN will see fit to carry next Sat's game on TV, as Italy could still beat the USA.

Posted by: ksowa | November 20, 2010 7:51 PM | Report abuse

I don't know why ESPN can't broadcast the USA WNT on TV!
