Off Topic and Off Beat, from your local twitter news pass-along-er
Jay Demerit is driving from his hometown of Green Bay to his new home in Vancouver in a Uhaul. Why, you may ask? To furnish his home in BC. He's calling it the Vantique Roadshow, and his number one rule is that he must stop at every furniture store he and a traveling parter see along the way. Frankly, that's an awesome idea. He's tweeting updates (@D6MERIT), with this being my favorite so far: http://twitpic.com/3nln38

So...9 out of 10 La Liga matches this weekend are on U.S. TV in some fashion.
That has to be a record.

From the Open Blatter, Insert Foot files:
FIFA president Sepp Blatter criticized the IOC on Friday while defending his own organization against corruption allegations, saying the Olympic body handles its finances "like a housewife."
Blatter, a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1999, said FIFA was more transparent than the IOC, and backtracked on plans to create an anti-corruption commission.

I'm up for La Coruna-Barca and Man Utd-Liverpool. I refuse to pay Verizon for FSP until they at least add FSC-HD to the FIOS lineup.
