Last time Old Trafford hosted a non-league side United was held tons 0, 0 draw. Repeat?

Team is reporting on twitter that Onstad is ditching the suit and tie for a keeper kit.

Nice. Does Pat Onstad immediately become the best keeper that DC United has ever had?

Posted by: OWNTF | February 17, 2011 6:32 PM | Report abuse

You have to love this preseason. This rocks.

Posted by: tcbannon | February 17, 2011 6:45 PM | Report abuse

tcb - one of the best preseasons in recent memory! Now, having our keepers out injured isn't perfect, but when onstad it the backup...well, I'll take it! Can't wait for the opener!

we've had some pretty good keepers over the years. So, now I wouldn't immediately say he will be our best ever.

Wonder how much we're going to have to pay Houston.

*is the backup.

@fedssocr,

Unless there was hidden fine print, United owes Houston nothing. He was exposed in the re-entry draft and not selected. Based on the rules Goff posted, he's fair game on a first-come basis.

I'd like to see Bologna vs Frankfurt. But then, pigs will grow wings and fly before that happens.

You have to go to Crawley Town before you get to Walkey Town.

A Villarreal striker is with the team in Oxnard.

No, not THAT Villarreal striker. Or that other one. 22 y.o. Sergio Villarreal from Deportivo de Cali. On trial.

Wake and bake with Everton knocking Chelsea out of the FA Cup Sat. FA Cup, Chelsea-Everton 7:30 a.m. FSC

I would LOVE to watch Rangers and Celtic but ESPN 3 nir FoxSoccer.tv not showing it.

I want to see what squad Man U fields against Crawley Town. With the EPL crown all but locked up (baring a late challenge from Arsenal), I expect Ferguson fancies his chances for another treble. Trusting a seemingly routine FA Cup tie to the B-team would suggest Ferguson isn't worried about a potential upset. (Can't imagine he's forgotten West Ham in this year's League Cup or Leeds in the '09 FA Cup.) Granted, Crawley Town are a fifth division team, but still, crazy things have happened in this tournament.
