A Different Approach at QB
So for the Terps fans out there lamenting the current QB situation, here's a different approach from Saturday's opponent: Naming the starter on the team's first possession. Delaware Coach K.C. Keeler tells the Wilmington News Journal, "It's a big distraction for everybody if we're getting that out now, so we're probably going to wait until we get down there. We're probably going to let the kids know sometime soon. They know it's coming down to the very end. Before we hop on the bus to go down to Maryland, I want one of them to know that they're going to be the starter."
Given some of the reaction after the decision to start Jordan Steffy over Chris Turner, Ralph Friedgen might consider a similar approach in the future. (Of course that could mean Chris Turner and his dad would spend halftime of the opener considering a transfer.)

Maryland will finish with a 4-8 record (good for last place in the ACC - even behind Duke)
It was gratifying to hear that, Maryland is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.
