An Offensive First Half?

Wow. A 7-0 lead against a Delaware team that can barely throw the ball vertically down the field. Sure, Da’Rel Scott is running well (10 carries for 74 yards) and Darrius Heyward-Bey has four catches for 70 yards and Davin Meggett got his career off to a fine start.

But if not for two plays, Jordan Steffy’s completion to Heyward-Bey for 36 yards and Heyward-Bey’s 12-yard run into the end zone, we’d be locked in a yawner of a scoreless tie.

Maryland kicker Obi Egekeze has missed three field goals, and there we have it. I heard some more boos as the Terrapins raced into the locker room following Egekeze’s 41-yard miss as the horn sounded.

Josh Portis got in the game for two carries, for what it’s worth.

Steffy still has happy feet and suffers from paralysis by analysis.....against Delaware. Time for Turner and don't look back

Ok Ralph your loyalty experiment is over. Put Turner in and lets get rolling.

Seriously, how long must we suffer Steffy?

Steffy stinks and everyone can see it. Who cares how good he is in practice. Ralph is too stubborn to yank Steffy and admit he was wrong so looks like we will all have to suffer with a horrible passing game.

This is ugly. I know DE made the I-AA playoffs last year, but we should be up by more. Navy has a 18 point lead on Towson

For a team that sucks Maryland's players do a lot of celebrating and posturing over the most simple plays.

I'm worried now. The defensive players are more concerned with hitting than tackling, they were playing a prevent on the drive that DE scored on, there were two near interceptions on that drive.

this reminds me of the Miami game last year, they won that one on two plays.

Cosh quote: "We don't have a scheme. We just tell everybody to run toward the funny shaped brown thing." I believe that about the "D" after watching the game. Cosh's prevent defenses always give up points. Just ask UVA last year.

To me, Steffy looked like the same GAME-DAY QB he was last year, but then, I'm just a fan and probably didn't understand the subtleties of the game. FG kicker looks like he could be a problem, but then, I'm just a fan.... That new, dynamic west coast offense looked like the same old conservative running game to me, but then again.... How many times did they throw down field (when Steffy wasn't gettin' sacked and fumbling)? Once? Imagine how many yards the two RBs would've had if they'd opened up the offense a little bit. JUST AWFUL!!!

Da fat man must have been thinking about...........DOUGHTNUTS instead of his inept choice at quaterback Steffy is a pretty boy and a joke as a signal caller how he won the competition at that position is a mysterey what he's got pictures of da fat man stealing food?

Not sure what to make of this. I do believe Turner starts next week. The RB's look good - really good, but the play calling is sooo last year. Please open up the offense and use all of your many weapons. I like Portis coming in, but once again, use ALL of his tools. Nice win anyway because Delaware is no slouch (did you see the number of D1 transfers?)
