Ralph on Franklin
Ralph had lots to say about the performance of offensive coordinator James Franklin so far. And here is some of it to digest:
“When he was here before, he coached wideouts and followed what he was told to do. He was a good teacher, and has a way of simplifying things. How I have seen him grow is that he is kind of more demanding. On the players and also the coaches. He has a great attention to detail. He has a very good grasp of every position and what every technique should be for every play. Some guys who want to be coordinators have a specialty and don’t really want to know the rest of it.
“You need to know it all to be a coordinator. I thought our team today executed very well. He works extremely hard, and it has taken on a whole new dimension right now because he is involved in so many aspects. He does a lot of meetings with the whole unit and puts everyone on the same page. It is run very much like we did in pro football.”
