ACC Teleconference with Ralph

I was surprised there weren't more questions today on the ACC call with Ralph, considering Maryland's victory over Cal on Saturday. Ralph said he was proud of how the team played and that he thinks it can play even better. He said Maryland needs to play a complete game and not sturggle through the fourth quarter like it did against Cal.

Regarding the kicker situation, Ralph said there are some similarities between what Obi Egekeze is going through and what former Nick Novak went through at one point in his Maryland career. Ralph also said that Obi has kicked very well this weel and "what he has to do now is come in and make a big kick."

Maryland's sports information department has alerted me that it provided incorrect info about the last time a Maryland true freshman scored a touchdown in his debut. Meggett was the first Terps player since Josh Allen in 2002 to do so. Allen did not see action until his fourth game against Eastern Michigan, during which he had an eight-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. I will also correct the original post.
