All Signs Point to Turner or Portis

All signs point to Chris Turner or even Josh Portis starting Saturday at Middle Tennessee State. The safe money is on Turner, who has been No. 2.

Jordan Steffy has not practiced in two days and offensive coordinator James Franklin said Steffy was “very questionable” for Wednesday’s practice because of his thumb injury. Players typically have needed to practice Wednesday in order to start that weekend’s game.

I have a story in tomorrow’s paper about all the developments today. Later tonight, I will transcribe interviews I have had today with Friedgen, Franklin and Josh Portis. Stay tuned. Thanks.
