Friedgen Eyes Clemson Game for Ivey
Coach Ralph Friedgen remains hopeful that nose tackle Travis Ivey (broken foot) can return for the Sept. 27 game at Clemson. But in order for Ivey to have a realistic chance to play in that game, Friedgen said he would likely need to begin practicing sometime next week. Maryland has an undersized and thin defensive line right now that failed to put much pressure on a Sun Belt Conference quarterback. Getting Ivey back for the start of the ACC season would be a considerable boost. Maryland’s official injury report should be released in the next 24 hours; I will post it on here when it is.
