Blog war?

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/college/maryland_terps/blog/2008/09/lets_look_closely_at_josh_portis.html

"Part of this blog’s goal is to report Terps developments to you quickly. But we want to do more than regurgitate what players and coaches say. We want to analyze what’s going on and have online conversations. We want to have brains. You deserve that."

The "regurgitate what players and coaches say" certainly sounds like Barker's trying to take a cheap shot at Terrapins Insider, if you ask me.

You're funny. I think the cheap shot is coming from you, not from Jeff Barker. There is no blog war between me and Barker. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I had some issues with Patrick Stevens taking some cheap shots at me, but I think Patrick and I have ironed those differences out, although it wasn't easy. Everyone runs his blog differently. That's good. I enjoy reading all the coverage from all the papers, including even from longtime vet Mark Clem. My last post was No. 248 in less than four weeks. Plus I write stories for the paper, of course. My goal is to provide the very best coverage that I can in terms of quality and quantity.

Blog War is one of the sweet posters from ACC Boards? FREDTERP

Oh I think you're doing a tremendous job, this blog is a go-to resource because it's updated so frequently, whether it's with quick hits, links or other info. Since many of the posts contain extra quotes from press conferences or interviews, however, I read into the other blog's post as being a slight. An undeserved slight. There was no real point to saying what he said unless he was trying to differentiate the two. Why not just post what he's going to post? Anyway, keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot for reading. And if you have any suggestions on how I can make the coverage stronger, please let me know. Write anytime.

To reiterate what others are saying, you're doing an amazing job with this blog.

BTW, is there any info on when the players that are "out" will be back "in". Frost, Ivey, Skinner, and LaQuan are the ones that I'm most interested in.

Thanks
