Terps Punter Gets ACC Honor
Maryland punter Travis Baltz was named ACC co-special teams player of the week. Baltz shared the honor with Florida State's Michael Ray Garvin, who returned a kickoff for a touchdown in Saturday's win over Colorado.
Baltz punted seven times for an average of 43.9 yards per attempt in Saturday's win over No. 20 Clemson. Three of the punts landed inside the Tigers' 20-yard line, and Maryland allowed just two returns for 11 yards. Baltz ranks second in the ACC and 13th nationally in punting average (44.3 ypg).
