Terps Win, 20-17
An improbable victory, to say the least. Clemson had dominated Maryland in the first half.
But two critical third-down passes by Chris Turner in the final four minutes. A big catch by Da'Rel Scott, and these fans are leaving in stunned silence.
Who do you credit most for the win?

Chris Cosh made some excellent halftime adjustments, much to my shock. Nice W all around!!!

That was a total team win. The D stepped up big time in the 2nd half and while the offense could have been better, they made the big plays when they needed too.

Defensive adjustments did it. Can't believe Chris Cosh made those adjustments - crazy!

I've ripped Cosh, but will credit him with the turnaround. Great win!!!

And Turner came up big when he absolutely had to.

EVERYONE stepped up when it matted. Cosh made adjustments, the players started executing, Turner made some big throws, Oquendo and Tyler and Da'Rel made some big catches... wow, just wow...
GO TERPS!!

The defense. Holding Clemson scoreless in the 2nd half, holding them on 4th and inches.

I'm speechless (and that's rare). What a half time adjustment. Great game (at least 2nd half). I'll be wearing my Terps jersey to my b-day dinner tonight with pride.

Clemson. Thanks for taking the second half off.

a very satisfying win. this makes Ralph 3-1 in Death Valley, right? as a Terp fan who spent a lifetime in Greenville, SC one year i love beating Clemson more than any other ACC team.

Great adjustments on D. I can't believe I am giving credit to Cosh. Congrats on a great win. Clemson is same o Clemson.

We all rip Cosh all the time(including myself) on this board. Got to give him credit. he made some great adjustments in the 2nd half. the team played great. Like i've been saying all year: Terps, ACC Champions.

Tommy Bowden gets the most credit. What a joke of a coach. How have they not fired him yet?

Great win today. I've been saying that we'd give Clemson all they wanted. Nice job by the D to shut them out in the second half.
CRUSH Virginia!

Definitely the Defense! The responded and shut the Tigers down as opposed to what they've been doing the last couple of weeks - fading near the end

Woooooo!!!!
Can't say I saw this coming. For some reason, it always seems like it takes a QB 2 seasons to really "get it" - the history isn't long, but McBrien and Hollenbach were both significantly better in their 2nd years.
Contrast: Joel Statham and Jordan Steffy, no continuity. Maybe it's just QBs with the initials "JS."

What a great win. I hope Clemson never fires Tommy Bowden, that guy will always keep the Terps in the game.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but this makes Turner winning four games against ranked opponents in the last two season. Gotta blast some RATT tonight fo' sho'!!!

Eric, I was wondering about your opinion on this question: Did the Terps win this game, or did Clemson lose it? Because I am thrilled with the W of course, but I don't have the usual warm n fuzzies...it feels like it shouldn't have happened.

What's the record for wins by the same team with the same score?

Woo hoooo! Clemson, Boston College, Rutgers, CAL
Go Terps Go Turner, DHB,Tyler,Scott, etc,,, etc,, there were a lot of stars today.. look at how many guys we have on our team that are doing it now!!!!
We have a great team!

The defense stepped up, but to me, the biggest difference was the fact that the offense was less predictable. After the first series of the 2nd half (where they looked aweful), the Fridge opened up his playbook and left the Clemson defense guessing a little bit.

coaching staff for keeping 'em fired up after a depressing 1st 1/2.
heyward-bay run helped spark the whole team.
way to go boys!
BEAT virginia!!!!!

Where's that dude who always posts that the Terps are going to lose 48-17 and finish 4-8? Maybe one of these days he'll be right...or maybe not.

Incredible performance by the defense in the 2nd half. Have to give credit to Cosh for fixing what went wrong in the 1st half. Just wish he could figure it out for an entire game.
Turner made some big plays when it counted.
