Thomas: We Have Chip On Shoulder

Here are a few player quotes, but I have a lot more interviews coming:

Lineman Jaimie Thomas:
"This game was one of our better games and it was still not our best. We know we can get better from here; we just need to do it in practice."

(on the play of the offensive line)
"We have had a chip on our shoulder all year. We just want to prove to the country that we are one of the best offensive lines. We are doing things better. We are not 100 percent but we are getting there slowly but surely."

(on Chris Turner)
"Chris managed the offense extremely well today. We moved the ball up and down the field well with good passing and running."

Chris Turner
(on the offensive line)
"The offensive line seemed to step it up a lot from last week's game against Middle Tennessee State. The play of the offensive line was very important."

(On what the game means for Maryland)
"We knew that if we could get this win, it could change the trajectory of the season. Hopefully we can just capitalize on this victory. I think this game proves we can play with anyone. We can put a lot of points on the board and probably should have scored a few more touchdowns."

Nolan Carroll
(On mental prep for the game)
"You just need to stay positive no matter what goes wrong. That's what we did the whole week, stay positive. If someone does something wrong, then you just correct it for the next time."

(on importance of win)
"This is a confidence builder for us. This is how we are capable of playing."

FEAR THE FRIDGE!

The defensive line looked great today, and played like the 85' Bears.

Maryland will finish 8-4 (good for third place in the division, ahead of all of the Carolina schools).

I am glad Maryland is still in the running for Tavon Austin, although Porzel is just as good.

Travis Hawkins and Jelani Jenkins will be attending the University of Maryland.

Hopefully we will not have to hear from Gary this week.
