A strong drive by Maryland aided by Edwin Williams' recovery of a Da'Rel Scott fumble. But Scott made up for the fumble by throwing a nine-yard touchdown pass to Darrius Heyward-Bey. A 58-yard drive by Maryland to open the game.

And Shane Popham kicked off for Wake Forest.
