BB&T Classic Tickets on Sale

Given how Saturday's events went for Maryland fans and that this is a bye week for the football squad, this might be a good time to turn our attention to basketball. So ... tickets went on sale this week for this year's BB&T Classic, which will be held Sunday, December 7, at Verizon Center.

Virginia Tech plays Navy in the first game at 5 p.m., followed by Maryland against George Washington at 7:30. With that schedule, you can come downtown, watch the Redskins-Ravens at the watering hole of your choice and then stroll over to Verizon Center for a doubleheader of college hoops. Christmas shopping can wait.

You can buy tickets here. With the event benefitting the Children's Charities Foundation, you can even feel good about yourself while you watch the Terps on the hardwood.

When is Georgetown going to sack up and play in this thing? Until then (or at least until strong national programs return - a la Kansas/Stanford/Illinois/etc.), Md. will continue to play down to the competition and lose these damn games.

The annual disappointment at the Verizon Center - I have burned enough in that place. No thanks.

Hey Gary (who posted here, not Williams),

SHUT THE HELL UP and stop posting
"Maryland will finish with a 15-16 record and 4-12 in the ACC

YOU'RE AN IDIOT! You can't actually think we'll go 15-16 and 4-12? Freaking bandwagon Moron. Go cheer for the Red Sux and the Patriots. I hear Duke is recruiting new fans too.
