Friedgen: We Can't Have Any More Letdowns

Just finished with Ralph Friedgen’s ACC teleconference. Friedgen just finished with a three-hour meeting where he and coaches discussed North Carolina State quarterback Russell Wilson, who is a concern because of his scrambling ability. “He throws the ball very well on the run,” Friedgen said. “Because he is so athletic he can create plays.”

Friedgen said one of the biggest keys to playing better Saturday against Wake Forest was improved performance by the offensive line. Bruce Campbell played very well at left tackle. Overall, Friedgen said he has seen a dramatic change in his team’s attitude and demeanor. The attitude is now about trying to get better rather than about simply trying to get through practices. Jaimie Thomas and Scott Burley have become more vocal recently.

That all sounds great, but Friedgen again said he still has concerns about which Maryland team will show up Saturday, adding: “We can’t have any more letdowns.”

Sounds promising but you never know with this team. At least we play at home - the two losses were on the road.

NC State -- 27
Maryland - 10

Maryland will finish with a 5-7 record.

I am extremely happy that Penn State is ranked number 3 in the country - and very soon to be ranked number one --- this will definitely hurt Maryland's recruiting - thank god !!!

I am happy that Maryland is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.

Jelani Jenkins, Travis Hawkins and Isaac Holmes will be signing with the University of Florida.

Go Tar Heels
