Poll: Palin, Biden and Football
Time to be a little creative because I'm really fired up for this debate tonight. The Sarah Palin-Joe Biden matchup tonight most resembles what college football matchup Saturday? Take this question any direction you wish. And feel free to explain your answer in the comments section. Enjoy.

Rutgers vs West Virginia
The Presidential Election is like the Big East. Even the best is really not that good anyways.
Palin is like Rutgers, came out of nowhere but in reality they are more smoke and mirrors than anything else and will be exposed the more games they play.
West Virginia is like Biden. Both from a MD borderstate that nobody really gives a crap about.

I'm covering the game at 7 p.m., and it's on ESPNU. Good comments, everyone!

^^exactly what buddah said.
Rutgers was nothing special, came out of nowhere, and then people realized that they really have no business playing with the big boys.
West Virginia has made a few runs for the title (presidency), but then ended up getting embarrassed (Biden's foot in mouth syndrome) and now have to settle for second fiddle (WVA is on it's backup plan for a coach, and this is as close as Biden will get to the Oval Office).
...I'm sure I could bs a few more connections as well.

If you follow the logic that Palin is like UVA, then does that mean she'll follow in Al Groh's footsteps and say, "I'm not saying this to make light of it by any means, but I'm not planning on having Arabs in the traveling party, so therefore I think probably that the threat of our being hijacked is pretty remote."

Why do newscasters keep saying that Sarah Palin is "not herself" or just needs to "be herself" during interviews. She was herself. She has some good qualities, but they are woefully not enough to allow her to play in the big leagues!
Her main problem is that she is totally ignorant in many areas. During interviews when she reveals that she knows nothing at all about key facts, issues, subjects, she IS BEING HERSELF --uninformed, ignorant. She just can't come right out and tell Katie Couric --Hell, I only read The Alaskan hunter once a week or Heck, I don't have a clue what initiatives McCain supported over the years. Or --Are you kidding? I don't have a clue what any of the supreme court decisions ever were!
Sarah Palin is being herself --ignorant, uninformed, uninterested in world affairs. If you think that this does not matter in a Vice President of the U.S. you deserve what you get.

Andrea Jones,
THIS IS A SPORTS BLOG!!! I think you are in the wrong place.
My guess it that you are not very attractive.
Palin = Wake Forest (Likable team looked good early but starting to have questions)
Biden = UVA (arrogance without winning)

Never knew who the Hilltops were until they showed up the VT schedule. Same with Sarah. This is a no win for VT and Joe - they pummel their opponent no one cares because they're up against a little sister. If they lose it will be there own mistakes.

The loser of this debate will be the local restaurant and the winner will be Orville Redenbacher.

Sorry, everyone. The obvious answer is Hawaii-Fresno State.
Hawaii, after all, is the closest Division I-A school to Russia, right?

You can actually see Russia from Hawaii, if you have taken powerful drugs.

Well some people are just educated beyone their intelligence. Palin was great, McCain is going to win.
Why are all the Democrats lawyers? Clinton, Ms. Clinton, Obama, Ms. Obama, Edwards, Kerry etc? Why do Lawyers want to run the country?

On MD's athletic site, the game is listed as 7pm and on ESPNU. On Comcast's site, it's a 12pm game on FOX. So which is it?
