The Vasquez Take on the ACC Race

I had lots of time today at ACC media day to ask players what they felt about the league race and other players. Everybody seems to feel UNC is the clear favorite, and for good reason. In fact, Miami's Jack McClinton corrected me when I said UNC was "pretty loaded and told me simply: "They are very loaded."

Here is how Greivis Vasquez ranks the teams in the preseason, along with his all-conference team (not taking himself into account):

1) UNC
2) Miami
3) Duke
4) Maryland
5)Wake Forest
6) Clemson
7) Virginia Tech
8) Florida State
9) Georgia Tech
10) NC State
11) Virginia
12) Tyrese Rice

all-conference team
Tyrese Rice, Boston College
Jack McClinton, Miami
Wayne Ellington, UNC
Tyler Hansbrough, UNC
James Johnson, Wake Forest

LOL @ 12) Tyrese Rice. BC can't really be THAT bad can they?

Says something that he picks Miami over Duke. At some point, that Dukie mystique will have to crack. Zoubek as their lone post presence (Thomas and Plumlee don't deserve any pub just yet) gets them a Top 10 ranking in ESPN? I just don't get it.

BTW, Sarge, we miss ya at TT. Hope you're doing well.
